The Goo Goo Dolls简介
1985年成军的Goo Goo Dolls以原始的团名The *** Maggots加上原始鼓手George Tutuska在各个俱乐部中以专门翻唱别人作品的摇滚团四处走唱。很快的他们于97年被一家专门出版重金属摇滚的厂牌Metal Blade签入旗下发行首张同名专辑，陆续的在87-90年间发行了三张专辑，直到93年的专辑《Superstar Car Wash》的发行，终于以单曲“We Are The Normal”进驻现代摇滚榜并打开知名度，获得乐界一致好评。 日益成熟的作品，更加流畅的旋律让95年的第五张专辑不但销售一举大破两百万张，单曲“Name”更是挺进流行单曲榜Top 5。此时原鼓手George Tutuska求去换上新任鼓手Mike Malinin接着他们整装再出发，继续绽放灿烂火花，发行了他们于乐坛中立下的新里程碑专辑《Dizzy Up The Girl》辑中一曲为电影《City Of Angels》所谱写的作品“Iris”不但稳坐点播榜18周冠军，更入围41届格莱美最佳年度唱片、年度歌曲及最佳流行演唱团体三项大奖提名，整个90年可说是Goo Goo Dolls开花结果丰收的年代！
